Passage Home, Raleigh Safety and Community Club
Passage Home, Raleigh Safety and Community Club empowers their community by providing an after school program for kids, tutoring, free lunch for the entire community, culinary skills training, a community library, a computer lab, and job counseling/training for addicts and women coming out of prison. WorldLegacy Leadership team NC140 provided four large storage cabinets, two inspirational paintings, a silk decorative tree, decorative flowers, a dolly rack for their tables, a wall mounted TV, a PA system, a projector, a set of eight classroom style adult student desks, three new computers with new software, a metal storage cabinet, new books for ages four to adult, four bean bag chairs, a new area rug, two outdoor children’s tables, six outdoor chairs, two park benches, pea gravel covering outside, a large storage shed, new outdoor basketballs soccer balls, a basketball net, and raised $5,000 to cover expenses. The team also painted the multi-purpose room and their piano, and refinished their library shelving. Budget: $20,000. November 2012. NC140.
